About
Japan Bangladesh Dockyard & shipbuilders Limited decided to set up a Local & export oriented shipyard at Katurail, Konda, South Keranigonj. Bangladesh. Incorporation in the year 2018 and the shipyard was formally inaugurated in early 2018. The facility is the largest amongst the shipyard of Bangladesh and is capable of producing steel works 3000 tons & 24 Nos Vessel Docking per year may be built and launched by balloon launching.
Under these circumstances, Japan Bangladesh Dockyard & shipbuilders Limited. has decided to seek investment from Commercial Bank to exploit the upcoming market to the maximum possible level. There is a master plan to develop a large shipyard in the 600 Decimal of land that has already been purchased. Some facilities have already been developed. However, because of commercial and economic considerations, the facilities have not been fully developed that would be required for building ships for foreign clients. The proposed loan financing is intended to develop a highly efficient shipyard equipped with all modern facilities so as to attract foreign buyers. The investment, market and projected financial performance of the proposal have been elaborated in the proposal.
At a later stage when commercial consideration will justify, the shipyard will be start the capacity will be able to process more than 15000 tons of steel & 36 Nos Vessel Docking and the capacity will be increases day by day.

Born
SULTAN MAHMUD comes of a respectable Muslim family of Muksudpur on July 15, 1967. His fathers name is Late Alhaj Jalal Ahmed who was a respected personality among the people of Dohar. He was verey prominent person in shipbuilding.
Early Career
After completion education Mr. SULTAN MAHMUD did not try to have any government job rather he engaged himself with business. His buseness units are S. Mahmud Shipping Line, TSUBASA Marine as Proprietor, he is also Managing Director of Rangpur Ice and cold storage Ltd,
Mr. SULTAN MAHMUD is president of JS Trading company Ltd. He stay in Japan for long time.He has good relation with various Japanese enerprioner, His shipbuilding career almost 33 years, He traveled various country of the world. He was involved in marine engine genset business for last 25 years
Social Contribution
SULTAN MAHMUD is playing vital role in social welfare related works. He is related with founding and development of educational institutions. He patronized to establish many social organization and helped thousands of people for treatment. He helped many poor people to avail housing facility, many poor students in their education and marriage of many poor brides.
He helped to promote a college in his locality named Padma Collage , Dohar, he donated every year to develope this college. Besides these, SULTAN MAHMUD is known to have donated substantially in the development of a number of mosques, madrasha and orphanages.
